The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.5706 on 26 June 2026, an extension of earlier notification 2026.3274, concerning a delivery of meat and animal by-products with unknown microbiological status.

The products are various meat products (meat and meat products other than poultry), stored chilled, originating from the Netherlands. They were distributed to a number of member countries, including Croatia, where the notification was passed on for follow-up. The classification is an information notification for follow-up and the risk decision is potentially serious.

The Dutch authorities ordered return to the consignor, destruction of the products and informing of the consignor and recipient(s). The basis was official control on the market.
