The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.7019 on 7 August 2026 concerning Salmonella serotype C in chilled chicken breast meat from Hungary, shipped via Austria. It is an information notification for attention with a potential risk, based on official control on the market; the sample was taken on 28 July 2026.

The bacteria were found at a presence level in 25 g, with a maximum permitted level of none in 25 g. The product weighs 12.0 kg and is stored chilled.

The notification was submitted by Czechia, and the product was distributed to Austria, Croatia, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia, which is how it concerns Croatia. No stock remains in Czechia and Romania.
