The Croatian Inspectorate (Državni inspektorat Republike Hrvatske) has informed consumers about a recall of the product AliBaba Jeera Powder (cumin powder) in 100 g and 400 g packs, LOT L15.05.2027, best before 15.05.2027.

The product was recalled because pyrrolizidine alkaloids were detected in it. It does not comply with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 of 25 April 2023 on maximum levels of certain contaminants in food.

The product was placed on the market by KATHMANDU MART d.o.o., Zagreb; the supplier is Fresh Tropical Sri By Jawad, Seveso, Italy. The notice applies exclusively to the product named above.
