The EU Safety Gate rapid alert system (reference SR/02104/26) published on 24 July 2026 a recall of the Cupra Terramar passenger car, model e9*2018/858*04014* (KP), made in Spain. The alert was notified by Germany, and the product was found on the market in Croatia by its authorities.
A defective welding connection may cause components in the front pre-tensioner to become detached in the retractor. The restraining effect may be impaired and parts may enter the passenger compartment, which increases the risk of accidents and injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers.
Batches produced between 03.06.2025 and 18.06.2026 are affected. The importer launched a voluntary recall from consumers on 15 July 2026. More information is available from Cupra (cupraofficial.de).
