Recall: Knoppers hazelnut bars over undeclared peanut

Croatia's Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers about the recall of the products KNOPPERS PLOČICE S LJEŠNJAKOM 8 KOM., 200 g, KNOPPERS PLOČICE S LJEŠNJAKOM 5 KOM., 200 g and KNOPPERS PLOČICE S LJEŠNJAKOM 1 KOM., 40 g, with EAN numbers 40144177, 40144450, 4014400920444, 4014400929065, 4014400471373 and best-before dates 09.03.2020., 16.03.2020., 20.04.2020. and 27.04.2020.

The reason for the recall is an undeclared ingredient, peanut, in the product. The product therefore does not comply with Regulation 178/2002 and Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers.

Because the product contains the allergen peanut, it may pose a health risk to consumers sensitive to peanut, while people who are not allergic may continue to use it without restriction.
