The Croatian Inspectorate informs consumers that the food business operator BIOVEGA d.o.o., Zagreb, as a precaution is recalling the product Ginger powder Lebensbaum 40g, LOT L102516, best before 31.12.2027.

The product was withdrawn because of the possible presence of the heavy metal lead and does not comply with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 of 25 April 2023 on maximum levels of certain contaminants in food.

The manufacturer is Ulrich Walter GmbH, Diepholz, Germany, and retail is BIOVEGA d.o.o., Zagreb. The notice applies exclusively to the product with the details above.
