Dried apricot 180 g

The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.6669 on 27 July 2026, notified by Croatia. It is a border control case: a consignment of dried apricots in plastic packaging weighing 180 g, originating in Tajikistan, was detained at the border.

The laboratory result showed 2569.3 ± 144.1 mg/kg of sulfur dioxide (E220), above the maximum permitted level of 2000 mg/kg. The sample was taken on 8 July 2026. The risk is not considered serious.

The consignment was not distributed from Croatia; the measure taken was destruction. The notification concerns Bosnia and Herzegovina and Tajikistan. Further information is available from HAPIH.
