The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.3609 on 24 April 2026, notified by the Netherlands. It concerns a consignment of Furikake Vegetable (30x50g) and MARUKOME Instant Miso Soup 12 Portions (12x258g) from Japan that passed the border control post in Rotterdam without the necessary veterinary controls.

The products were distributed to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden, and the notification is also for follow-up by Croatia. Belgium withdrew the products from the market, the Netherlands and Sweden informed the recipients, and the other countries are carrying out investigations.
