Hot peppers plastic box

The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.8331 on 21 September 2026 concerning a border rejection of a consignment of hot peppers in a plastic box originating from the Republic of North Macedonia.

Laboratory analysis of the sample taken on 15 September 2026 found pesticide residues: formetanate 0.82 mg/kg, ethoprophos 0.028 mg/kg and dodine 0.11 mg/kg. The risk decision is serious.

The consignment was detained at border control and may not be placed on the market; the measure taken in Croatia is destruction. The notification was made by Croatia, and the product was distributed to Croatia, where a company is involved.
