The State Inspectorate of the Republic of Croatia informs consumers that the product ABC, Jelly straw, 260 g (fruit jelly straws/sticks, 13x20 g), all LOT numbers and best-before dates, is being recalled.

The product contains unapproved additives E407 and E410. These additives can affect the consistency of the jelly, and because of the hardness of the product a health risk to consumers, especially children, cannot be ruled out (there is a risk of choking). The product does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008 on food additives and Regulation (EC) No 178/2002.

The supplier is Asia Express Food B. V., Kampen, Netherlands, and it is placed on the market by Asia d.o.o., Zagreb and Pekinška patka j.d.o.o., Samobor. Country of origin: the Netherlands. Details of the recall are available on the food business operators' websites.
