The Croatian State Inspectorate informs consumers that the food business operator Spar Hrvatska d.o.o. is recalling, as a precaution, the product S – budget Cikla rezana (sliced beetroot), 670 g.

Affected are LOT numbers 240425N205 (best before 19.09.2028), 290425N204 (best before 16.09.2028) and 300425N204 (best before 16.09.2028). The product was placed on the market by Spar Hrvatska d.o.o., Zagreb; the producer is Naturala d.o.o., Slatina.

The recall is due to the possible presence of the heavy metal cadmium. The product does not comply with Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/915 of 25 April 2023 on maximum levels of certain contaminants in food.

Consumers are asked not to consume the affected products and to return them to the shop where they were bought.
