Pick your app
Once connected, just ask naturally, e.g. "What happened in and around Split today?". The assistant picks Adios's tools by itself.
ChatGPT
- Turn on Developer mode
Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced → Developer mode. If it isn't there, look under Security; OpenAI moves it now and then, and availability depends on your ChatGPT plan. - Create the connector
In Apps & Connectors click Create and fill in:Name Adios Description Croatian news: latest, near a place, daily summaries, story timelines, recalls. MCP Server URL https://adios.hr/api/mcpAuthentication No authentication - Use it in a chat
In a new chat turn on Adios (the + menu or Developer mode) and ask. ChatGPT asks for permission before the first tool call.
Adios also has the search and fetch tools in the shape ChatGPT connectors and deep research look for.
Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop)
- Add the connector
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. Name: Adios, URL:https://adios.hr/api/mcp→ Add. No OAuth needed. - Turn it on in a chat
The + button → Connectors → Adios. The same connector works in Claude Desktop and on mobile.
Team and Enterprise: an owner adds it in Admin settings → Connectors, then members turn it on in their settings.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http adios https://adios.hr/api/mcp
Then in Claude Code: "What are the biggest Croatian stories today?"
Codex (OpenAI)
In a terminal:
codex mcp add adios_news --url https://adios.hr/api/mcp
Or by hand, in ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.adios_news] url = "https://adios.hr/api/mcp"
Check: codex mcp list, or /mcp inside Codex. In the Codex extension for VS Code and in the app: the gear (Settings) → MCP servers → add a server → Streamable HTTP, the address above, save and restart.
Cursor
In ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):
{
"mcpServers": {
"adios": { "url": "https://adios.hr/api/mcp" }
}
}VS Code (GitHub Copilot)
In .vscode/mcp.json, then pick Adios's tools in Copilot Chat (Agent):
{
"servers": {
"adios": { "type": "http", "url": "https://adios.hr/api/mcp" }
}
}Windsurf
In ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"adios": { "serverUrl": "https://adios.hr/api/mcp" }
}
}Gemini CLI
In ~/.gemini/settings.json:
{
"mcpServers": {
"adios": { "httpUrl": "https://adios.hr/api/mcp" }
}
}Other clients
Any client with Streamable HTTP connects to the address directly. A client that only knows stdio (local commands) uses mcp-remote:
{
"mcpServers": {
"adios": { "command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://adios.hr/api/mcp"] }
}
}To try the tools by hand: MCP Inspector (npx @modelcontextprotocol/inspector), transport Streamable HTTP, the URL above.

Make Adios tell you by itself
With a key
Without a key the MCP works right away. A free key gives higher limits and every call in your own log:
- ChatGPT, Claude and apps without headers:
https://adios.hr/api/mcp?key=adios_… - Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http adios https://adios.hr/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer adios_…" - Others: the header
Authorization: Bearer adios_…
Limits and privacy
- Without a key: 20 calls a minute and 300 a day per session, up to 20 items a call, a radius up to 50 km.
- The MCP asks for no sign-in and doesn't see your chats: it only gets the tool's question (e.g. a place and a radius).
- Calls without a key (tool, parameters, IP address and app) are kept for 7 days, to guard against abuse.
- The news belongs to the portals: the assistant summarises and links, it doesn't copy whole texts.
