The EU Safety Gate system (reference SR/02287/26) published a recall on 13 August 2026, notified by Germany. It concerns the passenger car Audi Q3, model e1*2018/858*00543* (FJ), made in Germany, barcode 68GG.
The product was found on the market in Croatia by its authorities; it was also found by the authorities of Estonia, France, Hungary, Ireland, Sweden and Slovenia.
Reason for the recall: a joint on the pyrotechnic gas generator in the front seat belt pretensioners may not have been properly welded. In the event of an accident, small parts could detach, increasing the risk of injury to passengers. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers.
