The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.7087 on 10 August 2026 concerning unauthorised substances in prepackaged fenugreek (100 g) from India, shipped via Italy.

A sample taken on 27 May 2026 contained 0.84 mg/kg of the pesticide thiamethoxam (maximum permitted 0.010 mg/kg), as well as the unauthorised pesticides chlorpyrifos (0.70 mg/kg) and tricyclazole (1.2 mg/kg).

The product was distributed to Croatia, where a recall from consumers was carried out. The notification was made by Germany and is classified as an information notification for follow-up, with a potential risk.
