The EU Safety Gate system has published a recall for the Ford Transit Custom, a light commercial vehicle made in Turkey. The manufacturer launched the voluntary recall on 28 September 2026; the alert was notified by Germany, and the product was also found on the market by the authorities of France, Slovakia and Croatia.
The reason is a touch condition between the diesel fuel tank and the DCIV bulkhead bracket bolt, which may damage the fuel tank over time and cause fuel to leak onto hot engine or exhaust components. The leaking fuel may ignite and result in a fire. The affected vehicles carry model designation e5*2018/858*00192*01-*03, *05 (NRN) and were produced between 2 February 2024 and 7 August 2026.
The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers. More information is available on Ford's recall pages (ford.com/support/recalls-details/).
