Recall: MC ice creams 2.5l over ethylene oxide pesticide in additive

The Ministry of Agriculture recalls MC Vanilla, MC Mint chocolate and MC Nougat ice cream 2.5l after ethylene oxide was found in an additive; lots PL1048, PL1049, PL1050, PL1130, PL1082.

The Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers that the food business METRO Cash & Carry d.o.o., Zagreb, is recalling as a precaution three ice creams: MC Vanilla ice cream 2.5l (GTIN 4337182040415, lots PL1048, PL1049, PL1050, best before 31.8.2023, and GTIN 4337182139997, lot PL1130, best before 30.11.2023), MC Mint chocolate ice cream 2.5l (GTIN 4337182040668, lot PL1050, best before 31.8.2023) and MC Nougat ice cream 2.5l (GTIN 3439496402895, lot PL1082, best before 30.9.2023).

The recall follows the detection of the pesticide ethylene oxide in an additive used in the production process. The product does not comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum pesticide residue levels in food.
