The Croatian Inspectorate informs consumers about the recall of two products: Metro Chef chocolate flavour ice cream 2.5l (GTIN 3439496421131, LOT PL0247, best before 30.9.2022.) and Metro Chef lime sorbet ice cream 2.5l (GTIN 3439496420028, LOT PL0280, best before 31.10.2022.).

The reason for the recall is the detection of the pesticide ethylene oxide in an additive used in the production process. The product does not comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum pesticide residue levels in food.
