Croatia's Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers about the withdrawal and recall of the product Oh Aik Guan sesame oil 150 ml, originating from Singapore, with best-before dates 12.03.2022, 15.05.2022 and 01.10.2022.

During official controls in Germany, elevated levels of benzo(a)pyrene and PAHs were found in the product. It does not comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 1881/2006 on maximum levels of certain contaminants in foodstuffs.

Distributors of the product in Croatia are PEKINSKA PATKA j.d.o.o. in Samobor and ASIA d.o.o. in Zagreb, which has posted a recall notice at its ASIA STORE in Zagreb, Ilica 52. The exporter is Oh Aik Guan in Singapore and the EU importer is Heuschen & Schrouff Oriental Foods Trading B.V. in the Netherlands.
