The Ministry of Agriculture is informing consumers about a recall of VEDRINI sesame seeds 200 g, EAN 3859890630920, LOT 45020, best before 03/2022.

The product was recalled because an elevated level of the pesticide ethylene oxide was found in it. It therefore does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food, nor with Regulation 178/2002 on the general principles and requirements of food law.

The country of origin is India. The supplier is A.N. PEK d.o.o., Radnička 9/D, Bestovje, and the manufacturer is Primorac d.o.o., Pašmanska 20, Zagreb. The notice applies only to the product with the details above.

Consumers are asked not to consume the product and to return it to the shop where they bought it.
