The Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers about the recall of the product Kumin u prahu (Ground Cumin – Jeera Powder), 100 g, brand TRS, best before 06. 03. 2022, due to elevated levels of pyrrolizidine alkaloids.

The product does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 January 2002 laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety.

The importer is Barkat Cash & Carry GmbH, Schützenmattstrasse 34, Bülach, Switzerland, and the wholesaler is Heuschen & Schrouff, Oriental Foods Trading B.V., Sperwerweg 1, Langraaf, Netherlands. The product is placed on the market by PEKINŠKA PATKA j.d.o.o., Slavonska ulica 11, Samobor and PAN ASIA d.o.o., Ivanićgradska 33, Zagreb.
