Biscuit with fig filling 252 g

The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.8871 on 7 October 2026, notified by Croatia. It is a border rejection: a consignment of biscuit with fig filling (252 g, ambient storage) from Bosnia and Herzegovina was stopped at the border.

Samples showed elevated levels of mycotoxins: aflatoxin B1 up to 26.12 µg/kg, total aflatoxins up to 31.89 µg/kg and ochratoxin A up to 23.9 µg/kg. The risk is considered potentially serious.

The consignment was detained under customs seals and the measure taken is destruction in Croatia. The product was not released for sale.
