The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.4631 on 27 May 2026 concerning a consignment of cucumbers from Vietnam stopped at the border. The notification was made by Croatia and the product was distributed to Croatia.

Analysis found pesticide residues: cyromazine at 0.032 mg/kg and thiamethoxam at 0.044 mg/kg (sampled 7 April 2026). The classification is a border rejection and the risk decision is "no risk" — the consignment was detained at the border and re-dispatched, allowed to travel to its destination under customs seals.

Because the goods were stopped at the border and never reached the shops, consumers do not need to take any action. For more information see the national consumer information pages at hapih.hr (Croatia) and bezpecnostpotravin.cz (Czechia).
