The Croatian Food Agency (HAPIH) published an additional notice to the product recall of 24.02.2022. The product concerned is NONGSHIM INSTANT NOODLE SOUP KIMCHI (Nongshim Shin Kimchi) 120g, LOT TM 21, best before 19.05.2022, originating from South Korea.
The product was recalled because 2-chloroethanol, a precursor of ethylene oxide, was detected in it. The product does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 178/2002 establishing the general principles and requirements of food law.
Traceability established that the product is placed on the market by the food business operator ASIA d.o.o., Zagreb (Asia Store, Ilica 52). The exporter is Nongshim Co.,LTD., Seoul, South Korea, and the wholesaler is Asia Express Food B. V., Netherlands.
