The Croatian State Inspectorate informs consumers about the recall of the product Škampi (Nephrops norvegicus), 21-30 S 25% Glazure, 1 kg, frozen, EAN 5060087700069, LOT 21555, use by 29.08.2024.

The reason for the recall is an elevated amount of sulphites that are not declared on the product. Because the allergen sulphites are not labelled, the product may pose a health risk to consumers sensitive to them, while people who are not allergic may continue to use it without restriction.

The product does not comply with Regulation 178/2002 and Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on food information to consumers. The producer is Laeso fish ltd, Peterhead, United Kingdom, and the wholesaler is METRO CASH & CARRY d.o.o., Zagreb.
