Dried Jute Leaves 160 g

The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.6240 on 13 July 2026 concerning the presence of the pesticide chlorpyrifos in Dried Jute Leaves, 160 g pack, originating from the Philippines.

The sample contained 0.782 mg/kg of chlorpyrifos against a maximum permitted level of 0.01 mg/kg. The substance is not authorised for this use and the risk is classified as serious. The notification was submitted by the Netherlands, and the product was distributed to Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Mauritius, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

Croatia is listed as a country where the product was distributed and which is asked to follow up. In Belgium and Denmark the product was withdrawn from the market and a consumer recall was issued.
