The EU Safety Gate rapid alert system (reference SR/02468/26) published a recall on 10 September 2026, notified by France and also found on the market in Croatia by its authorities.

The recall covers Ford passenger cars: Focus, C-MAX, Transit Connect, Galaxy, S-MAX, Mondeo and Kuga with 2.0 l EcoBlue Diesel and 1.5 l EcoBlue engines, produced between 12 May 2014 and 3 June 2024 depending on the model.

On these vehicles the diesel particulate filter (DPF) may be cracked. As a result the vehicles could fail the legally required roadworthiness test, because exhaust emissions of soot may be above the authorised limit. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers.

The manufacturer has launched a voluntary recall from consumers. Owners of the listed models should contact Ford or an authorised service centre to have the diesel particulate filter checked and repaired.
