The EU Safety Gate has published a recall (reference SR/02467/26) for Hyundai SANTA FE (MX5 HEV) passenger cars, model e4*2018/858*00188*00, found on the market in Croatia by its authorities. The alert was notified by France on 10 September 2026.
The reason for the recall is that the front seat belt snap-on anchor may become misaligned or come loose. If an accident occurs, this may increase the risk of injuries. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
The manufacturer launched a voluntary recall from consumers on 3 September 2026. Vehicles built between 13 March 2023 and 24 March 2023 are affected. The same alert was also raised by the authorities of Ireland and Sweden.
