The Croatian Inspectorate informs consumers about the recall of METRO Chef lan sjemenke (flax seeds) in 2 kg packs (lots 233 and 278, GTIN 3856024704496) and 500 g packs (lot 280, GTIN 3856024704489), as well as Mješavina sjemenki 5/1 (seed mix, lots 234 and 289, GTIN 3859890587262).

The recall reason is an elevated amount of hydrocyanic acid found in the product. The product does not comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food.

The recall applies only to products with the listed lot numbers. The supplier is METRO Cash & Carry d.o.o., Jankomir 31, Zagreb, and the producer is MARJAN VOĆE d.o.o., Kozari 8a, Zagreb.
