EU Safety Gate alert SR/03073/26, published 27 October 2026, was notified by France. The product was found on the market in Croatia by its authorities; the authorities of Germany and Slovenia also found it.

The product is the Peugeot Boxer NG light commercial vehicle with a 2.2L diesel engine, VIN VF3YDG8F9TG054052 – VF3YDT6F7VMD45765, made in Italy between 2 December 2025 and 17 August 2026.

On these vehicles, insufficient tightening of the fuel pressure damper may create a gap in the assembly and cause diesel to leak from the fuel system. If the leaking fuel comes into contact with an ignition source, it could ignite and cause a fire. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers.

The manufacturer launched a voluntary recall from consumers on 8 October 2026. Further information is available from Peugeot.
