Safety Gate published alert SR/02442/26 on 16 September 2026 concerning the Urban Glide RIDE 500CT electric scooter (Trottinette électrique), notified by France and found on the market in Croatia by its authorities. The product originates from the People's Republic of China.
The scooter's electronic controller does not guarantee that the speed is permanently limited to a maximum of 25 km/h, so the speed limit is likely to be exceeded. As a consequence, the user could have difficulties controlling the scooter, fall and suffer injuries. The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive nor with the European standard EN 17128.
