Update: sesame seeds recalled over elevated ethylene oxide levels

The Ministry of Agriculture has issued an additional notice recalling sesame seeds, LOT SRSS/G-259/20-21 and SRSS-G-285-20-21, over elevated levels of ethylene oxide.

The Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers about the recall of the product Sesame seeds, LOT SRSS/G-259/20-21 and LOT SRSS-G-285-20-21, due to an elevated quantity of ethylene oxide. This is an additional notice to the earlier notice of 23 February 2021.

The product does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food and with Regulation 178/2002 establishing the general principles and requirements of food law.
