Croatia's Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers that the food business operator SPAR HRVATSKA d.o.o., Slavonska avenija 50, Zagreb, has as a precaution withdrawn and recalled the product SPAR Vital protein crackers 200 g, EAN 3856021202148, all best-before dates.

The product is being withdrawn because of an elevated amount of ethylene oxide in a raw material used during production. It therefore does not comply with Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum levels of pesticide residues in or on food and Regulation 178/2002 laying down the general principles and requirements of food law.

The manufacturer is PAN – PEK d.o.o., Planinska 2c, Zagreb; the product is placed on the Croatian market by SPAR HRVATSKA d.o.o. More information on the return and recall is available at spar.hr/obavijesti.
