The European Commission validated RASFF notification 2026.4267 on 15 May 2026 concerning compound feed for dogs from Italy (Mangime composto completo per cani) in 2 kg packages, batch 148666.

The sample contained 336 ± 44 mg/kg zinc (maximum permitted 200 mg/kg) and 38 ± 7 mg/kg copper (maximum permitted 25 mg/kg). The sample was taken on 11 March 2026. The classification is an information notification for follow-up, with a potential risk decision.

The product was distributed to a number of countries, including Croatia, where a company is involved. In Italy the product was detained by the operator and withdrawn from recipients; the same measures were taken in Bulgaria.
