Recall: NUII and Milka ice creams over ethylene oxide pesticide

Ministry of Agriculture recalls NUII BERRY, MANGO, MACADAM, TEXAN PECAN and MILKA MINI ŠTAPIĆ ice creams, all lot numbers, as ethylene oxide was found in an additive used in production.

The Ministry of Agriculture informs consumers that the food business operator SPAR HRVATSKA d.o.o. is recalling as a precaution the ice creams NUII BERRY 270 ml (3X90 ml), NUII MANGO 270 ml (3X90 ml), NUII MACADAM 270 ml (3X90 ml), NUII TEXAN PECAN 270 ml (3×90 ml) and MILKA MINI ŠTAPIĆ 6X50ml, all lot numbers and best-before dates.

The reason is the pesticide ethylene oxide found in an additive used in the production process. The product does not comply with Commission Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum residue levels of pesticides in or on food.

The manufacturer is Froneri Austria GmbH, Austria; the product is placed on the market by SPAR HRVATSKA d.o.o., Slavonska avenija 50, Zagreb. Further details are available on the SPAR website.
