The EU Safety Gate published a recall on 4 August 2026 for Iveco EUROCARGO lorries, models IG160EG2CA, IG150EW2CA and IG190EL2CA, made in Italy between 4 September 2025 and 13 January 2026.
The ball joints on the tie rods may not have been heat-treated according to specifications, impairing the steering performance. This could reduce vehicle control and increase the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers.
The alert was notified by Germany; the product was found on the market in Croatia by its authorities, and also by the authorities of France and Ireland. A voluntary recall by the importer started on 28 July 2026.
Consumers should contact the Iveco importer or an authorised service centre for inspection and repair. More information is available from the company.
